The development and the popularization among the personnel of the  service-applied kinds of sport, which assist to the professional skills increase, fire, physical and psychological preparation of future specialists of Ukraine fire rescue service subunits is one of the most priority trends. There are such sections of the following kinds of sport  in the educational establishment:

athletic kinds of sport

The fire applied sport is the leading one in the educational establishment. It includes the complex of exercises and elements which are used to fight fires.

Fire-applied sport is found in USSR. The first competitions took place in 1937. The federation of fire applied sport is set up in 1964, and the international competitions are held since 1968. From 1954 till nowadays 14 masters of sports of international level, 140 masters of sports, 512 candidates to masters of sports and over 8 thousand rated sportsmen are trained in the educational establishment. The good university sport technical basis  contributes to this: that is the gymnasium, the educational sport complex of fire rescue preparation, the athletic gymnastics gymnasium, the summer sport ground for games, the summer sport ground for athletic gymnastics exercises,  the shooting range. Our sportsmen participate successfully in different level competitions. The team of fire applied sport was a winner and a prize winner in the international competitions.
