Faculty of fire and technological safety
Faculty as one of organisational and educational-scientific structural subunit of Ukraine was formed in May, 2006. Teaching of cadets is organized on the base of the faculty (Bachelors, Specialists, and Masters) for speciality “Fire Safety”.
Chiefs of the faculty:
- Dean, candidate of technical science, professor assistant, colonel of internal affairs service Yuz’kiv Taras Bogdanovich;
- Dean assistant of educational and methodological work of the faculty, candidate of technical science, colonel of internal affairs service Pavlyuk Yuriy Emil’ovych (chief of the department of technological safety) and is a direct chief of department’ chiefs.
- Dean assistant – major of internal affairs Movchan Ivan Olexandrovich - is responsible for education, official discipline of the cadets and is the direct chief of subunits’ chiefs (chiefs of the courses, chiefs’ assistants, platoon commanders of the faculty).
Cadets and 9 Masters are taught on the faculty. Among them:
- 118 first-year cadets (4 platoons) – chief of the course captain of internal affairs Boiko Taras Volodimirovich.
- 121 second-year cadets (4 platoons) – chief of the course senior lieutenant Trachuk Oleksandr Petrovich.
- 205 fourth-year cadets - chief of the course major of internal affairs Klymyuk Mykhaylo Mykhaylovich.
- On the fifth course of cadets and 9 Masters – chief of the course major of internal affairs Slobodyanyk Volodimir Ivanovich.
Four commencement departments belong to the faculty:
- of technological safety – chief of the department, candidate of technical science, colonel of Pavlyuk Yuriy Emil’ovych;
- of control-prophylactive activity – acting chief of the department, candidate - of technical science, major Bashynskyy Oleg Ivanovych;
- of electrical engineering and automatics - acting chief of the department, candidate of technical science, lieutenant-colonel of internal affairs Kravets Igjr Petrovych;
- of control, law ensuring and disquisition, chief of the department, candidate of pedagogical science Parubock Oleksandr Mykolayovych.
Educational process together with scientific and scientific-technical activity of the departments is conducted by 42 scientists and 2 persons of auxiliary educational staff. Among them:
- three doctors of science (doctor of technical science – professor Semerak Mykhailo Mykhailovych, doctor of technical science – professor Gyvlyud Mykola Mykolayovych, doctor of technical science– professor assistant Gudym Vasyl’ Illich);
- 23 professor assistants (18 candidates of technical science, 2 candidates of pedagogical science, 2 candidates of judicial science, 1 candidate of economic science), 11 of them have scientific degree “professor assistant”;
- 13 scientific- pedagogical staff without scientific degrees.
Seven scientific workers and three workers of subunits are working in an active way on scientific investigations to achieve scientific degree – candidate of science.
24 disciplines are taught at the faculty. Theoretical lectures are conducted in nine modern lecture-halls, practical lessons and lectures in 6 laboratories, in subunits of the Ministry of Emergencies, on the objects of the city and on the base of other high educational establishments of Lviv.
