April 26, 1986. Hell and place of  sorrow is Chornobyl. Ruind with the explosion the fourth energetic block is pain and tragedy, courage and people’s self-sacrifice, firefighters’ heroic deed. Ukrainian people stoop their heads in grief before them.

         A detachment of cadets-volunteers from Lviv Fire Prevention Institute were one of the first who began to fight with the disaster. Oleksandr Sventytskiy, Ivan Blashko, Yuriy Kolachuk, Oleksandr Dremlyuga, Vasyl Illyuk, Sergiy Klimchuk, Mykola Prudyvus, Yuriy Saulyak, Victor Avramenko with commander at head, today lieutenant – colonel of inner service Sudnitsyn M.V. were members of this detachement. They fulfilled one of the most difficult operations of liquidation of Chornobyl accident consequences at 150 metres – hight just over the fourth acomic reactor.

         Not words, but human deeds told about desperate and unshakeple wish to help in trouble. Todays’ workers of our establishment are among thousands of liquidators of accident at Ch APS: major of inner service M. Boyko; lieutenant-colonel of inner service O. Gavrylko; lieutenant-colonel of inner service V. Kysil; major of inner service I. Ivaneyko, and institute veteran colonels of inner service in resignation I. Bilenko, A. Lebid, B. Grytsay, A. Kharchuk, O. Yurents, lieutinant-colonel of inner service A. Antonyuk. The nuclesr disaster was tamed thanking courage of such people.
